Playwork Diploma
(19+) Work-Related Learning Level 3
The Level 3 Playwork Diploma is a 12 – month course, delivered in the workplace. The course is 100% assessed by coursework and work-related observations, with assignments to meet criteria.
This is an ideal qualification for those who work in the sector in a supervisory capacity or have a career ambition to progress to this role, in schools, leisure centres and a variety of other setting with children aged 4 to 14 years.

- Understanding self-directed play
- Understanding safeguarding children
- Understanding health &safety
- Understanding organisational requirements
- Supporting positive outcomes for children and young people
- Planning and supporting directed play
How will I learn?
A dedicated Tutor/Assessor will support you throughout your study programme on a tutorial basis providing a versatile and flexible approach to your learning. Your work placement commitment should be a minimum of 12 hours a week in a playwork environment.
How will I be accessed?
You will be assessed continually throughout your learning using a variety of assessment methods including written work, assessor observations, testimonies and work evidence captured in the work setting.
All Trainer / Assessors have industry experience.
Special Entry Requirements
You are required to hold a disclosure and barring service check (DBS); this allows you to access the work setting.

Funding for this course is via a Learning Loan of £2882.00 including all registration and certification fees.
