The Travel and Tourism industry is one of the most vibrant industries in the world. This course gives students a lively and varied introduction to the travel industry.
In April 2013 the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport launched Visit Britain’s long term tourism growth strategy for Britain. This ambitious strategy – delivering a Golden legacy: a growth strategy for inbound tourism 2012 – 2020 – aims to attract 40 million international visitors a year, spending £31.3 billion, by 2020. This will generate an estimated 225,000 jobs.

More than just a course
Our Tutors are all industry specialists and you will learn via, group discussions, role plays, team activities, research and individual study.
The course is made practical wherever possible, particularly in areas such as Work Experience, Preparing for employments and Children’s Representative. You will produce a portfolio of work that is internally assessed and externally. You will also have the opportunity to undertake work experience in your 2nd year.

We also offer you NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Introduction to Cabin Crew alongside the Extended Diploma to enhance your travel qualifications.
To study Advanced Vocational qualifications you must have achieved at least 5 GCSEs grade 4 – 9 including English or Maths. An interest in the travel and tourism industry, motivation and commitment to the subject, the ability to meet deadlines and excellent communication and ICT skills would also be an advantage.
