RT @GPLCMCNET:So we have listened to you and here we are. Cheadle and Marple College Network Twitter feed for Government and Politics Students.
We offer a wide and diverse range of courses – including A & AS Levels, BTEC qualifications and Apprenticeships – all of which can help lead to university, further training or directly into employment.
An Inclusive Approach
With over 800 students drawn from all walks of life we pride ourselves of being an inclusive college. All college staff and students are treated equally and with respect – regardless of background, ability, beliefs or lifestyle choice – and everyone contributes to a progressive and positive learning environment.
This, combined with an extensive programme of extra-curricular activities, sporting clubs and other opportunities outside of the classroom, helps to ensure our graduates are mature, grounded and equipped for the next stages of their lives.
At The Cheadle College we are constantly improving standards and results. Our student’s grades have improved every year for the last four years, and our A Level results continue to be higher than those achieved at school sixth forms.

Our Latest Ofsted
In October 2016 The Cheadle College, and its sister institution Marple Sixth Form College, were inspected by Ofsted.
We were awarded a ‘Good’ rating and were highly praised for our approach to raising standards through our “inspirational leadership, collective will and passion of staff”.
Ofsted also highlighted the positive and progressive culture embedded throughout both colleges and cited us as having “a friendly positive learning environment that appeals to the great majority of students” and “a dynamic and relentless culture of improvement”.
The report goes on to conclude that the institution is “ambitious to be an outstanding college within its community, and for its community”.
We are very proud of Ofsted’s assessment and would invite you to read the full report here.
The Cheadle College is embedded in its local community and strives to be a good neighbour.
Students and staff regularly get involved in charity initiatives which benefit local causes, and we hold regular college events which are open to everyone.
